The type of refrigerant will appear on the data plate.Before you leap to charging refrigerant though, a good cleaning should be in order (it might not even be cost effective to charge it frankly).The outside coil (condenser) should be cleaned and rinsed as well as the inside (evaporator).Most common liquid cleaners are okay for the condenser. Rinse with a garden hose.For the evaporator, try a weak vinegar solution. Either rinse with plain water in a spray bottle or let the condensation from operation rinse itself.Good luck. .
