I can't decide between a Samsung LCD and a Panasonic Plasma (both are 42 inch). I like both LCD's and Plasma's equally, but what do you think is better, Panasonic, or Samsung?

Samsung has the outer look.... but panasonic has the resolution way better than samsung!.. plus at costco right now! there taking 200 bucks off a panasonic 1080 plasma! an they barely came out this past month!

lcd..go for panasonic

Plasma will give you better color reproduction and an overall better picture quality. They produce a much deeper shade of black which results in colors that "pop" and better detail in dark material. Generally plasmas are cheaper at that size, and the reproduce fast motion better than lcd. Panasonic, specifically, makes some of the best plasma tvs, and offer some of the best values with regards to price and quality. You won't be disappointed. The one drawback is that plasma has a higher power consumption than lcd.
