You can set-up so you can use the text feature on your phone as it was MSN ("go mobile" on your computer messenger I believe is what it is called)....mine is a blackberry but you can send a text to see who is online from the cell and send them texts to their Messenger as if you were on the messenger....and your replies come to you as text messages.I hope this helps.
