Trouble with a Samsung SyncMaster 740N, please help.?

Hey folks, thanks for looking. Just wondering if someone could help me out. This weekend there was a power surge and since then, the above mentioned monitor hasn't worked... the light to indicate power is on though... any suggestions as to how i can make this work? Also is there any way the cable could be the issue here?Thans

It sounds more like the backlight. Yo would have to take it to Samsung to be repaired.

First is the light green if not your computer is dead. Hook your monitor to another computer and see if the monitor works. If it doesn't then it needs some shop repair time. LCD are cheap now
