A 720p picture will still be impressive. But obviously would be better if it were 1080p.

Yes, I also have a 46 samsung. Most ps3 games don't even go 1080p.Also some research confirmed that 720p and 1080p aren't much of a different. 1080p is better, but you can't tell the difference normally with the human eyes. You have to look very closely to notice the details. I'm guessing you have 1080i though, that's still fine too.

It will still look very nice but if you do get a tv that has 1080p the picture will be of such a good quality.

I have an ordinary cathode ray tube TV (32" widescreen) and it looks amazing on that!Obviously, the higher definition the TV, the better the image will be. But at the end of the day PS3 graphics are phenomenal, way better than PS2 and they'd look great on anything, even a 14" colour portable!

yes, the hdmi cable alone gives you way more colors and a much clearer picture. You should purchase "Planet Earth" on bluray. Nature is alot cooler in HD!
