depending on how old she is it could be stress when i get stressed out the cartilage in my chest swells and make me feel a sharp pain in my chest other wise its better safe then sorry you should take her to the doctors

i had this over my left hand side when i was in track in high school. they did exrays on my heart and lungs and couldnt find anything wrong with me. and so my dr chalked it up to my breast were growing...ok girls know when that is happening and that def wasent it. she might have tore a muscle or has air behind her lung it is something to get checked out
