Every now and again i experience pain surrounding my eyes, esspecially towards the back of the eye. Does anyone know what this condition and if so what causes it?

eye strain??I know inflammation can cause eye pain but it would be more consistent pain...migraines and tension headaches can also cause eye pain, esp migraines.... not sure what else..

Pain in the eye can be an important symptom and can't be safely ignored for long. Fortunately it is an unusual complaint. Itching and burning are more common. Eye pain may be due to injury, infection, or an underlying disease but hopefully may not be serious and good luck.

If your beginning to complain it must be very painful,Maybe you look at the Computer too much or TV also!

I use to suffer a sharp pain behind my eyes as well. I went to the doctor and found out that my blood pressure was extremely high. I almost was hospitalized. I urge you to go to the doctor and get your blood pressure checked.
