Sometimes when I sneeze, lift heavy objects, get light-headed or just simply turn my head, I get a horrible sharp pain in the back of my head in one spot usually either left or right (mostly left). The pain is worst as soon as it hits and then slowly goes away and is gone in about 20 seconds. This has been happening since I was about 9 and it probably happens around a few times a month. Anyone have any idea. Im going to the doctor friday but id just like to see if anyone on here had anything to say.There is one friends house that it usually does happen at but other than that there seems to be no connection to time or food, etc. An additional description of the feeling is like a blood vessel has popped in my head and it actually makes me cringe. Sometimes I double over from its intensity.

sorry i can't tell you much, but i suggest getting a little note card and keep it with you to write down extactly when and where you keep getting these painswrite down what you were doing, and try to remember what you did the day before and what you ate as this could be a factorbe as descriptive as possible, and it might help the doctors figure it out
