what key is in and does that mean---? when the keys is changed does that mean the actual keys are changed and how do you know which ones will be sharps and which ones will be natural?

Four sharps is the key of E major or C# minorIf the key changes then it will be notated on the sheet music ; there will be a new set of flats or sharps and this new key signature will then apply.

4 sharps= the key of E major. that means there are 4 sharps in the E major scale. so it would be: E, F-sharp, G-sharp, A, B, C-sharp, D-sharp and E.and yes the keys change. so if you read an F in your music, on the piano it would be played as an F-sharp. The notes that will be natural will have a natural sign by them. cuz the whole point of putting sharps in the key signature is so obviously you know what key the song is in, but also so the composer doesnt have to put a # by every sharped note in the particular key.hope you understood that lol. i was trying to figure out how to explain over the computer

mate look next to the music clef when you start and it will tell you what sharps to play. When a key change occurs, yes, that means the notes change....this is a joke anyway, you said youve just started...?! you wont be lookin at 4 sharps and key changes for awhile.

its good to remember the order of sharps and order of flats. they never change no matter what key you are in.
