4 sharps= the key of E major. that means there are 4 sharps in the E major scale. so it would be: E, F-sharp, G-sharp, A, B, C-sharp, D-sharp and E.and yes the keys change. so if you read an F in your music, on the piano it would be played as an F-sharp. The notes that will be natural will have a natural sign by them. cuz the whole point of putting sharps in the key signature is so obviously you know what key the song is in, but also so the composer doesnt have to put a # by every sharped note in the particular key.hope you understood that lol. i was trying to figure out how to explain over the computer
