The TV is less than 2 years old and I have noticed that there are what looks to be burn-in marks or bleed-through spots on the sides of the screen where some shows use the black bars on the sides if the show is not in widescreen (or something like that). Does anyone know what this is and what needs to be done to correct the problem? Thanks!

The cause of the black side bars, are usually caused by the station, broadcasting that show, or commercial. Why they do it, I have no idea. Hopefully when we go totally digital next year, that won't happen.As to the burn-in marks, that could be caused by the loss of some of your pixels. I don't think there is a cure for those.
