Default Tryin' to figure this out before the ER... Sharp pain in lower central belly, with...

...dull back ache and cramping? I was thinking it was constipation (sorry for saying it, but when you're in this much pain, who cares). Anyway, I've been dealing with this pain for about 5 hours now. It suddenly came on after I got back from a 2 hour workout at the gym. Never felt this sort of pain before. Symptoms:-Hurts to cough-Hurts to bend over-Hurts to twist side to side-Can't lay on stomach-Dull ache behind belly button, generating down to the lower central quadrant (belly)-Dull back ache-Nausea.....My instincts/book smarts tell me it's appendicitis or constipation, which I'm hoping it's the latter, because I absolutely CANNOT go to the doctor- I ship out in October and going to the Hospital unless in the case of a dier emergency is going to throw my enlistment off, if not cancel it, depending on the results of the visit- Hence the reason I'm on here. I just need a second opinion- I'm a Corpsman so I have an idea of what it could be, but still, that doesn't make me a doctor. If you have any clue what this could be, any feedback would be great!! Thanks!!! -E2 HM1 Stremel, US Navy

Believe it or not, but your symptoms could be the result of a hernia. They don't always present with localized pain. You will have to go to the doctor for proper evaluation and treatment (if necessary), there is simply no way for anyone (educated or not) to diagnose you via the internet. I hope you find relief soon...Good luck!

I vote that it's appendicitis. Constipation would not come on that quickly. I strongly suggest going to the DR. asap. My room mate thought it was food poisoning (just ate sushi) and had her appendix rupture for 3 days before going to the Dr. and had to have a lot of work done surgically and has been recovering for 7 weeks now.
