It is about 2 am my time, and I woke up about half an hour ago with very sharp abdominal pains. I have had stomach problems for most of my life, since about age two (I'm 16 now) so I am no stranger to stomach pain...but this is different. It's a shooting pain really low in my abdomen, where my pubic bone is, and it sort of comes on waves. It almost feels like a stomach virus, but my stomach isn't upset at all, although I am pretty nauseous. I took some pepto-bismal, but it hasn't helped. What could this be, and how can I make it feel better?I just ended my period, and switched to a new birth control 4 days ago.

im not a doctor, it could be somthing minor or it could be something major. if its in the lower right side it could be your appendix or you could have something going on like a cyst. or it could just be a random nerve thing. either way you should let someone in your family know about it. appendicitis sometimes starts hurting all over your stomach before just hurting on your lower right side.

try midol...you should go to the doctor if you have sex because it could be an infection
