Default Sharp pain on lower right side of back, 30 weeks pregnant?

I have this pain that I basically woke up with. At first it reminded me of how I felt when I had a kidney infection back a few years ago, but now the pain has changed. It is a sharp pain that comes and goes and when it comes it lingers and hurts so bad I could cry. It lasts for about 5 minutes then subsides. About 10-15 minutes later it comes back and lingers for about 5 minutes. This has been going on for about 2 hours. The pain does come in a pattern, and has kept the same pattern the whole morning. It is only on the right side of my lower back that I feel it when it starts, and it radiates to the rest of my lower back as it lingers.Could this be premature labor? Do i need to call my doctor? When I have the pain, it also hurts worse if I take a deep breath. Forgot to mention that.

Back labor Make sure you are timing them so be sure early labor isn't approaching.

I agree with lanek you should definitely call your doctor about your unexplained pain. You really can't be too careful when it comes to the new life inside of you. I hope that it is not anything too serious and that you end up having a beautiful baby boy/girl. You will be in my prayers.
