Default Sharp pain in pelvis area during intercourse? The pain has been ongoing

since last night.? Last night I was having sharp pains in my lower abdomen and pelvic area, during intercourse. I usually have these pains during intercourse but not like last night. It hurt worse than it has ever hurt. After we stopped, the pain was just shooting into my back and it lasted until I could remember, because I fell asleep, which took me a long time to do. This morning it was still hurting when I woke up. The pain has been causing my back to hurt all day. I have also been having back pains for the past month or so. I saw my doctor about 6 months ago and he told me try the ortho evera patch to see if it would help with the pain and it hasn't. And in fact I'm sitting in my chair and it is quite uncomfortable, because I kind of feel it in my rectum area as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It can be muscle spasms called trigger points in your pelvic floor muscles. They refer pain to various places and you need a physical therapist with special training to track them down. Look up chronic pelvic pain.
