Sharp pains under rib cage?

Im having a sharp stabbing pain underneath my rib cage, right at the top of my stomach in the middle..I have a drs appointment for Monday and was just wondering as to what this may be. Thanks in advance!

Random, but I'm going out on a limb and saying if it's in that area then it might be an ulcer/perforation, costochondritis possibly, and maybe an inflammation of stomach/duodenom/upper GI as others mentioned.

You'd need to note when this pain usually starts, if it's after you eat a certain food, or if you even get headaches or quite possibly describe the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. I hope you find out what's up, gooduck!
