Sharp inner ear pain/loss of hearing?
My BFs left ear gets clogged at least once or twice a year & the clogging is accopanied by muted or 80% loss of hearing. Usually he just puts some ear ache drops in there & in a few days he's right as rain.
But this time he had the clogging & loss of hearing, we decided to try & unclog his ear w/ a common earwax rinse from the drug store. It allowed some hearing to be restored, but now we has a sharp, stinging inner ear pain. Sounds like an infection, but not sure if I should give him antibiotic or pain killer. Should I be afraid ear drum may be damaged?
