Default Sharp pain in my elbows when I lean on them?

It feels like I've leant on something sharp, it only just started happening a few days ago. What could it be?

Tennis elbow from overuse of muscles in movement similar to tennis or from playing tennis?

Whenever i'm physically uncomfortable or something is wrong I turn to Web MD. Just google it (:

This is what I found for you :

You can also go to the Symptom Checker and it'll become more specific for you after you fill in gender, age, etc.

Hope all is well (:

Have you lost any weight in your upper-body this year at all? Perhaps the nerves you are hitting when you sit down and lean on your elbows used to be insulated by two or three more thin layers if skina and were a little more slippery.

Regardless if it doesn't go away after a couple days go see your family doctor.Well, as soon as you can this being the holidays and all. If you consider it an Emergency then definitely go in.

Cheers, Happy Holidays, and all the best to you and yours.

This happened to me when I was in college. I went to the doc and he asked me if I was hanging out in bars a lot. I laughed and told him no - I told him I was studying a lot because of school. He asked me if I was leaning on my elbows and I told him yes. He said they called this Barfly Elbow or something like that. He gave me some Ibuprofen and elbow splints to wear at night and told me to stay off my elbows at school. They remained sore every time I leaned on them, but sure enough, when college was over and I stopped leaning on my elbows all the time, it went away. I would say even if you don't feel like you are leaning on your elbows all the time like I was, go see your doctor or an orthopedic doctor and see what he/she gives you as an explanation. In the meantime, you should probably be mindful and stay off your elbows and use a little Advil or some other anti-inflamitory medication to help with the pain. Best of luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!!
