Directv cable for Sharp Aquos Plasma?

We received a Sharp 46 inch Aquos Plasma TV for Christmas. We have a Directv standard receiver. I know we need an HD receiver. Are there any special cables we need to buy? We are not very electronically inclined around here. Any help is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year!

When you call up DirecTV to upgrade, they'll send out a tech who will replace your box with an HD box and might also go up on your roof and replace your dish, depending on if your current dish is too old to get HD.

A standard HDMI cable comes in the box of the HD receiver so the answer to your question is no you don't need to buy a special cable. The DirecTV tech should hook it all up for you nicely.
