Are musical saws, or singing saws supposed to have the sharp teeth still...
...on one side of the instrument? I am planning on building my own musical saw, and I have been reading an article about building your own, but it never mentions grinding the teeth of the saw down...but when I read about actual musical saws, and the saws most musicians use, they have no teeth (so there is no sharp side)...and after further investigating on how to play...I notice that you actually have to hold the blade, so how could you possibly keep the sharp teeth on?
If by chance someone knows anything about musical saws, that would help..maybe I am just not understanding the technique behind holding one.
THank you!
