Sharp pains on both sides of lower stomach.Is this normal?

For about a month now I have been having random sharp pains in my lower stomach and then they would go away, but in the past 2 days and today the sharp pain is faster and sharper.

The pains are right above each hip bone on both sides.

This sounds pretty serious and I would contact a doctor if it gets worse.

How old are you? Are you ovulating?? It could be something to do with your menstrual cycle. If you are due a period, this could be the cause, however if you are worried, it's best to talk to your Doc. Hope you feel better soon.
