they are only on one side of my belly, and it hurts to touch that area...It almost feels like the baby is trying to poke out of that spot, but why would it feel sore to the touch? I have been having some Braxton Hicks, nothing consistant yet...and i have been having lower back pain.Any ideas if i should be concerned about these pains? this is my 2nd baby and i had my 1st at 36 weeks.I had my 1st baby early due to pre-eclampsia, but this pregnancy, blood pressure has been normal...almost perfect. I know headaches are a sign of preeclampsia, but i think mine are sinus headaches...I see the dr on Tuesday...I was just wondering if these were maybe some real contractions that just werent consistant.

It could just be the baby pushing on a tender spot. I had that with my last baby. There was one spot that always hurt, and it hurt to touch it. Is it on the belly, or under the ribs? If you're having pain on the right side under the ribs (especially if you've had high blood pressure), it could be pre-eclampsia. In that case, you should go to the ER immediately.Most likely, though, the baby is just giving you a reminder that it's there. Good luck!

if you had your baby a month early on your first pregnancy then you need to call your doctor ....

Most likely ligaments stretching to keep up with growing baby, but if they are really bad of you are really concerned you will need to call your OB. Good Luck!

I am 33 weeks with 3rd. I have the same problem. My doc says its my ligaments stretching.
