Default Please help to connect my PS3 to my 32 Sharp Aquos TV.?

Hello people. I just got a PS3 and trying to connect it to my 32 Sharp Aquos TV. I bought a hdmi cable from DVI on amazon for like $5. Then I connected the cable to the back of the TV but I can only hear the sound for the game. I tried everything but still can't see any graphic, only the sound. It said error on the video output setting. Please help me. Thank you.

(HDMI from DVI? just use a straight up HDMI cable. ps3 doesnt even have DVI output) DVI is a computer output)

first, make sure you have hdmi and a composite input tabs setup on your tv so u can switch between them.

then u need to connect your ps3 to the tv with the composite cable (red, yellow, and white). then go to display, and change the settings to HDMI. the screen will go black and then u need to switch to the HDMI input tab you made on your tv. u should see your ps3 on the tv and it'll have a thing asking if u want to accept the new settings. click yes. finish the setup and your ps3 is ready to go! and if u ever need to reset your ps3 back to the default composite cables, turn it off, and then turn it back on while holding the power button. this resets all display and audio options.
