Default Sharp pain and 30 weeks pregnant?

Ok so I am nearing 31 week pregnant....(could be 34 weeks I have two different due dates) and I am having sharp pains in my vagina. This has happened for a few days now and is only getting worse, I walked for maybe 20 mins today and I had to stop what I was doing and sit down before it went away or subsided a bit. I have some pressure in my lower abdomen but mainly sharp pains in my vagina, the pain goes up and down and occassionally side to side. Is this normal. I go to the Dr Friday and do not want to call with the appointment so close, should I call anyway or has anyone else experienced this?

You should definitely call. If it is something serious you might need to go to the emergency room but you need a professional's advice. Hope everything is ok.

By all means, call your doctor ASAP. You're well along in your pregnancy and you don't want to risk a premature birth. If anything, err on the side of caution. At least have a phone consultation and let the doctor decide whether you need to come in sooner than your appointment. That's why you have to wait when you go for your appointments - because the doctor is working in patients who are experiencing difficulties.

Well, you should call just to be safe.... it won't hurt but the office will tell you if it is something to be concerned about. I would think that the pain is simply because your body is preparing for delivery.I wouldn't wait to call... at this point in your pregnancy.. if you are experiencing pain.. you should let your doctor decide whether or not you should come in.I wish you the best of luck........ and congratulations!!!
