Default sharp pains in lower left abdomen... what is it?

ive been feeling nausous and have been having sharp pains to the lower left of my abdomen but above my hip bone. I hurts a TON when i put pressure and if i push on the right it seems to send a wave to the left side and hurts. What could it possibly be?p.s. i know it doenst have anyting to do with my menstral cycle, and i am not constipated

It could be a number of things, Pelvic Inflammatory disease, appendicitis kidney stones? Best to go to the doctor

In addition to the above suggestions, it could be a hernia, especially considering the fact that it's combined with nausea and localized tenderness. Get off the internet and DO go see a doctor without delay!!

I had the same pain and I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis. Please go to the doctor. If I didn't I would have been in worse shape.

It sounds like appendicitis, although it may also be another thing.I suggest you go to a walking clinic or to see your doctor as soon as possible. If it is nothing (sometimes the colon may make you feel like that), you don't have to worry about it, but if it is appendicitis and you don't see your doctor, it may be dangerous.Take care

the appendics are on the right side, on the left are your ovaries. I would suggest seeing the OBGYN for an evaluation. check webmd and see if that site offers any suggestions in the mean time
