Problems with the center of the my foot, has sharp needle like pain?

I started having a problem with the bottom of my left foot having these sharp stabbing pains whenever I run and put pressure on it. I am an avid distance runner so this concerns me.I circled the spot of the pain here:[url]http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/884/footcu8.pngCan[/url] someone help?

You have probably been doing too much running. If you run every day, take time off to rest your foot. If that doesn't help, better see a doctor to make sure that you haven't fractured a bone.

If you have always ran and the pain just started recently, it is obviously a new development. You should make an appointment with your doctor to have it checked out. In the meantime try resting a day in between.
