Default I have a sharp pain in the arch of my foot?

I'm a dancer and sometimes I get cramps in the arch of my foot or whatever and I can normally work those out. but now I have a sharp pain in the arch and I can't work it out. it feels like a nail being pushed into my foot. what is it or how could I fix this?I believe with the fascia band the pain normally happens closer to the heel of the foot but my pain happens fairly close to the ball of my foot

i think i get that same pain when i run a long distance and what really helps me is to do some lunges and really stretch out my leg and foot then it goes away for a while.

i think this is your faschia band telling you that the work youve done has caused it to become inflamed. if you can get a really cold can of soda and place it on the floor and roll your foot with a stretching motion over this it will help to relieve it. also try to stretch out your foot by lunges as well this will really help only do cortizone shots as last resort.

You may have adult acquired flatfoot, plantar fasciitis or bunions that require surgery. As you know dancers often have bad feet from being so hard on them for years and years. Your best bet would be to see a podiatrist who tell you exactly what is wrong and maybe have inserts made for your ***** to make it more comfortable when you work out.
