It would be a mixture of pressure and the hormone relaxin that is the cause. But you can't think that you carrying a 3kg baby by then end that it wouldn't hurt your insides, lol. The baby is just sitting very heavy and low, but that is a good thing, it will help to soften and ripen your cervix for labour. I had those pains from 20 weeks with my son who was my second baby and it got to the point where I was in pain when I stood, or sat, I couldn't win, so the Doctor let me be induced on the due date (bad bad move, lol) You will be having an appointment with your Doc or midwife very shortly I am sure it is completely normal, but still ask just in case.

I would definitley contact your doctor. They may have to do an exam to make sure you are not going into labor. Labor is different for every pregnancy. With my first it was back hard labor. Believe you me you will know. It is very painful. My second came very quick. My third I had complications a little. They had to give me medicine to make it go faster---Painful as well. The biggest thing here is to contact your doctor. It could be the pressure of the baby or something no one thought of. It does not hurt to get looked at. Better safe than sorry. Good Luck

It sounds like your having contractions (labor pains) to me. It could be Braxton Hicks (your body getting ready for labor),or it could be the real deal, I would go to the hospital, just to be certain.

This is a typical complaint at this point in anyones pregnancy, as the pelvis begins to prepare itself for delivery, but talk with your doctor about your particular situation. It is totally normal and some women get worse pains than others. Good luck with your baby !!--
