I have a Siemens DSL modem, I have good dsl connection but no Internet connection?

I have a good DSL connection.(or so I am told) I am on ATT DSL service, and yesterday the internet quit working. I called up tech support and they performed a line test and it was good. The only lights that come on are the power, ethernet, and the DSL lights. The internet light never illuminates, and the activity light blinks few and far between. Is my modem bad? How do I check? Has some of my settings mysteriously changed? If so what do I look at?

did u call bellsouth or ur internet provider? u may be getting haced or about to have computer crash google all thre thngs and take the rash quiz to see

If you connect to your modem via ethernet, chances are it will have routing software built-in.First, go to http://portforward.com/english/route...erindex.htmand find your router model in the list (normally on the underside of the router)Then follow the instructions on portforward.com to connect to your router, but only up to the point where you have logged in.Then find the DIAGNOSTICS, or MAINTENANCE (or similar) section in the router setup and find ADSL, DSL or xDSL Diagnostics.Then post the entire pages results here (copy and paste).

Have you checked the DNS IP in your TCP/IP setting please heck that.All three lights on it means that you are connected to DSL media but not connected to Internet.If you have using Dynamic ip then change the ip of the computer to static and default Gateway as IP of your router and DNS is always provided by ISP.Call them and ask about your IP setting.

hi , ur modem model num shud siemen 4100,as u said all the three lights among five are green except the internet,the reason cud be the following1)hav ever chnged the password of att PRIMARY EMAIL-ID,in case if u ahve changed then u need update the new password on ur modem.u can update the password this wayopen IEGO TO ADDRESS BAR---type 192.168.0.1it will give u a siemen page ..n u can follow the steps ..try out.......if this doent work then u call att customer care...enjybye.....
