I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo laptop and it won't play games from a CD - do I...

...need to buy/install software? Basically I just bought a game on DVD and the computer refuses to install it. Is there free software I can access or will I need to buy it? The laptop uses Windows Vista and does play an older game absolutely fine. Any help greatly appreciated! Thank you!
