ive just got a new siemens laptop for christmas and the battery is very short its meant to be 1 hour and 40 minutes but a full battery lasts me about 15-20 minutes , its brand new , am i doing something wrong? if it isnt me then does anyone know an address i can email for help or the phone number / helpline for siemens laptops. thanks :P

Hi there. I have one too and the battery life is pants! If you click on the battery icon on the bottom left hand side of the screen and switch the power plan to power saver this should get you your 1 hr 40 mins when you do this you will notice that the screen will dim. Alternatively you can buy universal batteries (about 3 hours) from Maplins they cost about £70.With the documentation with your new laptop there is a service phone number for Fujitsu, I phoned up to get a quote for a genuine replacement part and it was also about £70.Its also worth noting that when they put the performance figures out for this, it will be using the minimum of power, ie not using the multidrive and on power saver.
