Default i bought a fujitsu siemens laptop which got installed with Xp Home edition,

it is vista capable...? i have bought fujitsu siemens laptop with windows Xp home edition installed. it is vista capable. now i have installed windows vista home premium on it. the question is my CD drive is not working. so seeing this problem i want to shift back to my previous O/S. but the O/S provided by the company was a CD. i could unable to boot from it. I have tried to copy that O/S in a system and i wrote it to a DVD. and trying to install. then is is throwing an error saying that the installed version is newer than the one which i am going to install(windows Xp Home). it is ending up there itself. .....plz do help me in this concern

You'll want to boot off the cd that fujitsu gave you with the laptop. If you put it in the drive, then restart the computer, and it doesn't boot from the cd, you'll have to jump into bios and set the boot order, so that the cd drive is checked before the hard drive. When you first turn on the computer, that screen will tell you the button to press to get into bios. It's likely to be del, f1 or esc.Once in bios, look for the boot order and put your cd drive at the top.
