Default is it bad for me to remove my m2 memory card while my Sony ericsson w580i is on?

i just got it today and was trying to figure out how to take it out. i took it out while the phone was on. will that effect my phone at all? thanks in advance

You should NEVER remove memory cards with the computer on, plugged in, or the battery still connected.

It is safer to turn off the phone before you remove it.

hello dude,even i have a sony ericsson w580i. these phones doesnt require to be turned off before removing memory card as these are not smart phones like nokia ones. otherwise the manufaturer himself would have given the option of removing memory card. so not at all a problem dude. u can do without turning off your phone.
