Sony ericsson w960 downloading jar files from browser?

im trying to download jar/jad files (games and apps) on to my w960 through the browser from trusted websites. i used these sites to download tons of items with my old ericsson. when i try to download a file, it shows that it is downloading, but then nothing happens. i even tried to look if it was downloaded in other folders but no luck. I also tried to send it to the phone using the PC suite but it wont recognize the files. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!
