Advantages of a symbian phone?

well, i want to ask that what more can i get in a symbian series 60 phone, than a non-symbian java phone? some softwares and some games......is that all?ok, the most famous, popular softwares come in java, and cheap symbian ph are slow. so, what will be the advantage of sybian phones? is there something like symbian apps support multitasking and java apps do not......plz bear wid me as im new to all these.
