n81 & n95- Are the right-hand buttons useable on non-ngage games / applications

such as vNes or Symbian games? Nokia n81 & n95- When held sideways (landscape mode), the n81 has 2 buttons on the right side while n95 8gb has those 4 media playing buttons on the right side. Are they useable in non-ngage games / emulators such as vNes or Symbian games at all, as mappable buttons or are they duds that are not detected when assiging/mapping buttons?
