How to play songs on a Telus LG 380?

I have the micro SD card and I can connect it to my computer with full readability. I have the MP3s. I put the MP3s on the micro SD and inserted it in the phone but it didn't recognize it. SO, how do I put songs on a Telus LG 380 from a micro SD card (which is from the PC)?
