If I take my 10-4 Mike from TELUS to Mexico, will I get charged for roaming when I...

...use it over there? I live in Canada, but I want to get another "Mike" and take it to Mexico and leave it there for my brother, but Im not sure if I'll have to pay extra per minute for roaming in Mexico, so if any of you has ever taken your "mike's" to mexico, could you share your experience? Thanx!
