Default Would an unlocked CDMA phone work for US Cellular?

I am stuck in a contract with US Cellular for another year with a phone that I freaking hate. I am not eligible for an upgrade for another year. If I bought an unlocked, refurbished CDMA phone, would I be able to get it activated at US Cellular? I'm looking for a Blackberry Pearl and most of them are made for Verizon (which is also apparently CDMA). Thanks so much for any help.

Default 12 month smartphone upgrade

Yo, Monkey Boy,

If you're a year into your contract, you actually are eligible for a new phone now with the US Cell. They have an early upgrade program for customers who are moving up to a smartphone or a "premium" phone.

If you're a year in, you're golden. Just walk on into the Cell and ask them to hook a brotha up.

You'll pay the promotional price for the Pearl Flip, what's that, like fifty bucks? Waay cheaper than an unlocked phone, not sure how many CDMA unlockeds there are out there anyway, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let you use one if you had one.

So go forth and get thy Pearl Flip. Your butt dialing days are over!
