Right now stay on the plan you have because some of the big Service Providers are planning on doubling their cancellation fees for people that want out of their contracts. I am with att and they want $175 to cancel my contract. I just read on YAHOO news page that Verizon is going to double their fees. It goes on to say the other leading Cell Phone Companies will probably follow suit. I am not going to renew my contract because I am not made of money.

yes. you can switch accounts at any time if you are staying with US Cellular - it's called a COR (change of responsibility). her dad would need to come into a store and sign the form stating that he is giving up control of the line. you would sign the same form saying that you are taking over control of the line.

you would assume the remainder of her contract (if any). there is no charge or penalty to do this.
