I'm getting Verizon service soon and am currently in China. Ive seen some pretty fancy phones here and want to get one but what should i look for so that i can use it in the states?

As long as the Chinese version is CDMA, it should work with no problems. You may need to flash new firmware to the phone. {But since you are verizon, you should do this to all your phones right away. Flashing the phone with stock firmware will get rid of the verizon menu, giving you access to the real menu}. As long as the phone is CDMA & operates off the verizon fequency, you are fine. The US verizon freq. is 850 MHz {analog}, & 1900 Mhz {Digital}. Remember these are CDMA feqs. A GSM phone operates off the same freqs, but will not work on a CDMA network.
