No. Its a SIM based GPRS phone. Verizon isn't compatible.

Nope, not even if you unlock. To use the iphone, you have to have a sim card and GSM band network unlocked or not.All verizon phones have the sim card built into the phone so you can only use their phones no matter what.I have an iphone on tmobile

Nope, the iphone is a quad-band gsm phone & requires sim cards. Verizon is a cdma carrier so most of the phones they offer are cdma only unless specified as dual-mode (cdma & gsm) which have starting cropping up recently. You can read up more here:http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3504_7-...4-5.htmlUnless Verizon and Apple have a sit-down and work out some sort of deal - keep those fingers crossed & hope for the best. Maybe they have or are in the process of a deal - who knows? The sure thing right now is wait until July 11th and port your number to AT&T when the iphone 3G is released. Hope that helped shed some light for you. This is my personal comment below so ignore if you want:I'm already on month-to-month with AT&T's rival at the present time. The date has been set as of the announcement yesterday made by Apple. July 11th is when 'it' arrives.
