my advice for selecting any phone is first to figure out what you want from a cell phone. then, play with it in the store, spend about 1/2 hour holding it in your hand & pressing buttons. ask questions from the sales rep, does it feel comfortable & easy to use while dialing, up to your ear, take a photo. when i bought my blackberry curve, one of the selling points was when the sales rep threw her blackberry into the air & let it slam into the hardwood floor, she put the battery & cover back in place & showed me it was still working fine. ( i have done this myself to show off to my friends how tough the blackberry is) most importantly, dont get too excited about a particular phone before you purchase it,,, i know it's hard when you just have to have the newest gadget. basically, spend as much time as you can playing with it in the store. in my opinion the voyager is definatley worth investigating.
