...not want a data plan.? When I was at the store I was told I would not NEED to buy a data plan for either phone, the difference of cost is minimal (enV3 costs $20 more)

Unless you have the Connect or Premium plans with Verizon, you need to purchase a data plan with the Samsung Rogue ($9.99 for 25 MB or $19.99 for 75 MB). I called Verizon's customer service and they said the actual phone does not operate without the data plan. Although the Samsung Rogue seems very cool, I would stick with the LG enV3. Less monthly cost that way.
